Job description
KDR Design Builders is looking to fill the position of Residential Project Co-Ordinator. Reporting directly to a Project Manager you will work along side your Site-Supervisor to maintain the flow of the project from start to finish by ordering materials, coordinating sub-trades and deliveries, and attending site visits and walk throughs. The successful candidate will have a construction background combined with customer service and time management skills.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and prepare construction schedules and monitor progress to ensure deadlines are met, including updating of project management software
- Read blueprints and complete material take offs
- Work within a budget
- Issue purchase orders and track availability of materials
- Review contracts, specs and change orders to ensure all materials have been ordered and work is completed as per specifications
- Organize specifications for site supervisors, and subcontractors
Skills/Requirements:
- A minimum of 2 years industry related experience (a combination of experience and education will also be accepted)
- Experience in renovations and interior design would be beneficial.
- Previous experience with Monday.com and/or Bluebeam Revu considered an asset
- experience in project coordination would be a strong asset
- Able to work in a Fast-paced environment, under pressure with tight deadlines.
- High Attention to Detail/ Extremely organized (you will be responsible for 10-20 projects a year, many of them happening concurrently)
- Time management skills with an ability to multi-task/prioritize
- Team player with a “can do” attitude
- Excellent written and oral communication – you will be communicating with Clients and Vendors on daily basis via phone and email.
- Valid Drivers License and vehicle to get to sites – not required but considered an asset.
- Experience with building code, city and municipality permits is considered an asset
