Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and personable Hairdresser to join our new vibrant and upscale salon that provides Hair, Nails, Facial, Waxing, Piercing.
The ideal candidate will possess a passion for hair styling and delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves creating beautiful hairstyles, maintaining high sanitation standards, and engaging clients to ensure a welcoming and professional environment. The Hairdresser will also have opportunities to upsell products and retail items, contributing to the overall success of the salon.
This is a month to month contract opportunity by renting the chair for only $250 per week.
Prime location on Lawrence and Bathurst.
Greta foot traffic and potential for referrals.
Duties
- Provide a variety of hair services including cutting, coloring, styling, and treatments tailored to client preferences
- Consult with clients to understand their desired look and recommend suitable styles or products
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of tools, workstations, and salon areas in accordance with health regulations
- Engage with clients in a friendly manner, ensuring a positive experience from greeting to checkout
- Promote retail sales by recommending professional hair care products and accessories during appointments
- Upsell additional services or treatments to enhance client satisfaction and increase revenue
- Keep up-to-date with current hair trends, techniques, and industry best practices
Experience
- Previous experience as a Hairdresser or in a similar role is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clients
- Knowledge of hair styling techniques, coloring, and treatments
- Familiarity with sanitation standards within a salon environment
- Ability to perform retail sales and upselling in a professional manner
- Excellent communication skills to interact confidently with clients and team members
- Experience working at the front desk or managing appointment scheduling is a plus
