We are a boutique personal injury law firm seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Junior Associate Lawyer to join our growing team.
The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of experience in plaintiff personal injury litigation and be looking to develop their advocacy skills in a collaborative and supportive environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of accident benefits and tort matters from inception through resolution.
- Attend and conduct Licence Appeal Tribunal (LAT) case conferences and hearings.
- Conduct examinations for discovery and attend mediations.
- Draft pleadings, motion materials, written submissions, and settlement documentation.
- Communicate effectively with clients, insurers, opposing counsel, and experts.
- Assist with trial preparation and other litigation-related tasks as required.
Qualifications
- Member in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario.
- 2–3 years of experience in plaintiff personal injury litigation.
- Experience handling Accident Benefits (ABS) files and tort claims.
- Experience attending LAT hearings, examinations for discovery, and mediations.
- Strong legal research, drafting, and advocacy skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
