As a Business Development Manager, you'll be responsible for growing sales and profit by focusing on driving packaged solutions and services in partnership with our Solution Architecture team. These services will be defined in terms of sales opportunity, collateral, process, scope, and pricing.
You'll develop the professional skillset of being the quarterback to both the dedicated sales groups. This includes managing mutually beneficial relationships within the corporate business community, Our partners and internal resources To ensure we pick best complement CDW's overall strategy. This includes working with CDW Management to co-develop a strong Services sales strategy.
What You'll Do
Grow sales and profit within assigned territory/geography by owning individual targets and the responsibility of the mix of services and customers to achieve it.
Frequent visits/calls with various levels of management from high potential organizations to drive and evangelize CDW Services and Solutions capabilities to our customers. Differentiating CDW through its packaged services and tailored services to fit client requirements.
Further develop manufacturer/vendor/partner relationships and foster new opportunities by forecasting and pipeline sharing to enable marketing account mapping
Work with internal sellers to scope and close services and solutions deals using internal, staff augmentation, and partner resources.
Own the contract schedules to reflect the services sold with the standard contract framework for each contract won
Develop account plans, strategies, and pre-brief forms for sellers to execute against
Conduct weekly and monthly meetings with segment management to enhance focus on Professional Services & Cloud Services
Provide weekly reporting on results to Solutions & Services management
What you need to succeed:Must-have:
Bachelors or related technical degree or equivalent work experience
4+ years' experience in technology sales/marketing
Ability to remain calm in a fast-paced work environment and to demonstrate thoughtful leadership in assessing problems/opportunities
Technical knowledge and aptitude of industry standards around services and engaging various resources internally and via partners and co-ordinating with the subject matter experts to produce comprehensive statements of work
Demonstrated proficiency of written and verbal communication skills (including technical writing and presentations) with ability to communicate and collaborate effectively both internally and externally
Demonstrated skill in prioritizing multiple responsibilities, tasks and projects simultaneously including ability to shift priorities
Eager to take on new tasks/responsibilities and passion for customer experience, operational excellence and continuous development
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Fluency written and verbal communications in both English and French
Nice-to-Have:
2+ years of business-to-business sales experience
Previous responsibility for monthly & quarterly sales targets
Established track record of successful quote driven sales attainment
Familiarity in directing and maintaining enterprise-level sales proposals and contracts
Relevant industry certifications
