Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mechanical repairs and maintenance of Heavy Duty Equipment. This role is essential for ensuring the operational efficiency and safety of our equipment fleet. The Heavy Duty Mechanic will work closely with Dispatch to diagnose issues, perform repairs, and maintain equipment to meet industry standards.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair mechanical issues in heavy equipment, including knuckle pickers and stiff boom pickers.
- Perform routine maintenance on various types of heavy machinery to prevent breakdowns.
- Collaborate with Dispatch to ensure timely completion of repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding equipment status and repair needs.
- Maintain accurate records of all repairs, maintenance performed, and parts used.
- Operate heavy equipment as necessary for testing and troubleshooting purposes.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while working on equipment.
Requirements
- A valid driver's license is required; Journeyman Heavy Equipment Technician Certification is required
- Proven experience as a mechanic with a focus on heavy duty equipment operation or automotive repair.
- Excellent customer service skills to effectively communicate with clients and team members.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Vehicle Inspection Technician License is an asset

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45.00-$55.00 per hour
