Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Landscape Technician to join our team and help maintain and enhance outdoor environments. The ideal candidate will have a passion for horticulture, landscaping, and outdoor construction, with a strong work ethic and attention to detail. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects, from garden maintenance to landscape installation, utilizing a variety of tools and machinery. Duties
- Perform landscape maintenance including mowing, trimming, pruning, and planting
- Operate heavy equipment such as excavators for site preparation and construction projects
- Install irrigation systems and troubleshoot issues to ensure proper watering of landscapes
- Use hand tools and power tools for planting, edging, and other landscaping tasks
- Assist with landscape construction projects, including grading, soil preparation, and hardscape installation
- Conduct regular maintenance of equipment and machinery to ensure safety and efficiency
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and meet client specifications
- Monitor plant health and perform gardening tasks to promote healthy growth
- Follow safety protocols during all operations involving mechanical or construction activities
Skills
- Experience with excavators, irrigation systems, gardening, and horticulture practices
- Strong knowledge of landscape maintenance techniques and plant care
- Mechanical knowledge related to the operation and maintenance of power tools and machinery
- Ability to use hand tools effectively for various landscaping tasks
- Familiarity with construction processes related to outdoor projects such as hardscaping or site grading
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot mechanical or irrigation issues
- Physical stamina for outdoor work in varying weather conditions
- Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment
