Duties
- Safely operate various types of vehicles including passenger vans, buses, or commercial trucks to transport clients, children, or goods.
- Ensure vehicle cleanliness, safety checks, and mechanical maintenance awareness before and after trips.
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting passengers with boarding, luggage handling, and addressing inquiries professionally.
- Follow all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies during transportation routes.
- Communicate clearly with dispatchers, clients, or care teams regarding schedules, delays, or special instructions.
- Assist with planning routes efficiently to optimize travel time and fuel usage while ensuring passenger safety.
- Maintain accurate records of trips, mileage logs, and vehicle inspections for compliance purposes.
Experience
- Prior experience working with children or in senior care environments is highly preferred.
- Proven ability to operate commercial vehicles safely and responsibly.
- Multilingual skills in Spanish and English to effectively communicate with diverse populations.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Mechanical knowledge for basic vehicle troubleshooting and maintenance awareness.
- Excellent communication skills for clear interactions with passengers and team members.
- Teaching or writing skills are a plus for providing guidance or documentation related to transportation procedures.
