Alongside the support of our existingsystem, PRESTO have an exciting modernization roadmap ahead, introducing modernpayment methods, delivering new customer and client value, and enabling newpartnerships to ultimately drive a simpler, more seamless travel experienceacross the region. The Solutions & Technology Office is seeking a leader todesign and oversee an open ecosystem of platforms and tools that enable theclient and customer experience for PRESTO, reporting into the VP Technology andSolutions. With ownership of PRESTO's architecture, integration, data, andinfrastructure functions, you will engage with business leaders, solutions anddelivery teams, and our supplier network to help develop PRESTO's technologyvision. Understanding our existing systems and challenges, you will design afuture technology roadmap that meets our strategic objectives in collaborationwith our business, suppliers and partners, and help drive ongoing technologyinnovation. You will build and develop a new team culture, acting as a mentorfor your team and leveraging your experience to help us build a stronger andmore agile technical brand.

Lead your team to take ownership of enterpriselevel architectural decisions for PRESTO across domains, includinginfrastructure, integration, applications, and data
Develop architectural models thatdescribe the current state technology stack and recommendations for futurestate, providing direction for continuous evolution
Ensure our architecture enables flexibility,scalability, supports growth objectives, and offers the best possible PRESTO customerexperience, integrating across a growing group of suppliers and partners
Advise on buy versus build decisions tomaximize return, minimize risks, and create appropriate future options. Providestrategic direction and leadership for complex technology procurement, assuringongoing business continuity as the supplier base evolves
Bring a deep and continuously evolvingunderstanding of current payment technologies, digital marketing and CRMplatforms, BI platforms, and open integration methods
Identify and research relevanttechnologies, engaging in Proof of Concepts and Prototypes, and recommendapplications of technologies to future product architectures
Develop and maintain policies,standards and guidelines that direct the selection, development, implementationand use of information technologies within the enterprise
Be an evangelist, educator, and leaderof architectural principles and values that enable agility, innovation,resilience and quality
Drive strategic technology projectsincluding migration to cloud services, re-platforming PRESTO to move to amodular, service oriented architecture with open APIs, and the retender ofsignificant portions of the estate
Provide leadership to the BI Technologyteam in developing a capability that meets business needs, and enabling dataneeds through the broader technology roadmap

Minimum 10 years' experience in futurestate planning affecting complex, integrated solutions. Combination or allareas of business architecture, applications / systems engineering,data/information architectures and technical architectures
Completion of a STEM degree inInformation Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline -or a combination of education, training and experience deemed equivalent.
Strong knowledge of infrastructurecomponents, virtualization technologies, cloud architectures, middleware andSOA, storage, databases, networks, monitoring
Strong knowledge of design andarchitectural patterns, standards, policies, and frameworks. Scrum Certificate,architecture methodologies/frameworks (TOGAF, IT4IT), Information TechnologyInfrastructure Library (ITIL) Foundations would be considered assets.
Strong understanding ofIT security and compliance regulations andcyber security methodologies, frameworks and practices (e.g. NIST, ISO 27000xCOBIT and ITIL in an operating production technology environmentto successfully plan and deliver future technologychanges;
Knowledge of senior management andcorporate administrative requirements (e.g. business planning, financialmanagement, risk management, asset management, business continuity planning andhuman resources management);
Knowledge of Human Resourceslegislation (e.g. Employment Standards Act, Occupational Health & SafetyAct, etc.) to monitor and manage employees and contractors, includingexperience in the application of collective agreement provisions, and developand manage staffing plans that adhere to corporate standards and applicablelegislation;
Expertise in client and contractormanagement and the usage of alternative IT sourcing (e.g. contract staff,outsourced project delivery, cloud services, IT outsourcing and businessprocess outsourcing);
Knowledge of procurement andvendor management practices, policies andprocedures to manage development and delivery of externally provided productsand services and outcome based contracting;
Knowledge of budget development andmanagement processes (annual and long-term budgets);
Interpersonal andoral/written/presentation communication skills to communicate technicalconcepts to a broad range of technical and non-technical audiences;
Proficiency in MS Office (e.g. Outlook,Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
