The Role
The Human Resources (HR) Coordinator is a key user for HR systems and will provide support to counterparts in the Eastern and Central Branch Regions. They have knowledge of the fundamental concepts and procedures in the functional areas of HR. They will input data into HR databases and review for accuracy and potential issues/concerns. They will coordinate a variety of programs to support hiring and employee relation functions. This position deals with highly confidential information. This position reports to the Senior Manager of Human Resources.

Accurately enter, update, and maintain HR records within our Human Resources databases. This includes tasks such as creating approved positions in the appropriate organizational units, processing new hires, terminations, personnel changes, address updates, paid time off requests, and more.

Review data for accuracy, identify potential issues, and resolve them to ensure data integrity.

Collaborate with the Global Business Solutions (GBS) team, IT, HR representatives, payroll, department managers, and branch contacts to ensure accurate and timely updates to HR records and organizational units.

Continuously optimize business systems to improve workflow efficiency, streamline processes, and enhance the consistency of employee programs.

Regularly review and update documented procedures to maintain high standards of data integrity.

Coordinate and provide support for various HR programs across multiple functional areas, including Pre-Employment Background Investigations, Performance Expectation Reviews, New Hire Orientation, Tuition Reimbursements, and Service Awards.

Document and continually review program procedures and processes to adapt to the changing needs of the department and advancements in technology.

Assist in preparing recruiting advertisements and coordinate postings through ADP and other job boards.

Conduct research to identify the best recruiting sources for specific roles.

Support the recruiting process by scheduling interviews, conducting interview screenings, completing reference checks, and maintaining interview documentation.

Help coordinate new hire onboarding, including scheduling and assisting with training sessions.

Provide administrative and clerical support to the HR department, including preparing bulletins and presentations, maintaining files, and updating department forms and documents.

Process employee announcements and updates on the company SharePoint.

Perform additional clerical tasks as needed to ensure smooth HR operations.

Run and distribute regular reports from the HR system, including payroll and paid time off reconciliation.

Perform mass updates to the HR system and maintain department templates.

Support various HR projects and respond to employee, supervisor, and manager inquiries.

Complete additional duties as assigned.
Education and Qualifications

Less than 2 years of related experience in HR or a similar field. 3-5 years preferred.

Associate degree/diploma in Human Resources, Office Administration, Business Administration, or a related field. ***Non-degree candidates will be considered with 6+ years of related experience and a high school diploma or GED.

CHRP (Certified Human Resources Professional) designation or working towards CHRP is preferred.

Occasional travel with overnight stays (0-5%).

Must have a valid driver’s license and the ability to drive a personal vehicle for company business (<20% of the workweek) and travel locally between company locations during the scheduled workday.

Good verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
