Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Early Childhood Assistant to join our vibrant team at Montessori Children's House Academy in Calgary. We have created this position in all three of campus, two in the SE and on in the NW. This part-time/substitute role is vital for supporting our team and enriching the children's experiences. Your contribution will help foster a nurturing environment where children can thrive academically and personally. The times for this position would be 10:00am to 2:00pm, Monday - Friday, with subbing if you are available.
Responsibilities
Assist the team during 10:00am - 2:00pm.
- Support classroom activities.
- Ensure a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment for all children.
- Help manage classroom behavior and encourage positive interactions.
- Provide attentive care for children 19 months up to the age of 6.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the classroom
Qualifications'
- Prior experience working with young children in an educational setting.
- Knowledge of Montessori methods is highly preferred.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to support diverse learning needs, including children with special needs.
- Patience, creativity, and a genuine passion for early childhood education.
- Certification in early childhood education.
- Experience with behavior management strategies.
- Flexibility to adapt to different classroom environments.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 20 per week
