Duties
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, assembling ingredients, and portioning meals to ensure timely service
- Support cooking activities by following recipes and instructions from chefs or kitchen supervisors
- Handle food safely by adhering to proper storage, handling, and sanitation procedures
- Help maintain cleanliness in the kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing workstations, and disposing of waste properly
- Support serving staff with meal delivery and setup to ensure smooth dining experiences for guests
- Follow all food safety regulations and hygiene standards to uphold health department requirements
- Contribute to a positive team environment by communicating effectively and assisting colleagues as needed
Skills
- Previous food service or restaurant experience is highly desirable, demonstrating familiarity with kitchen operations
- Knowledge of food handling procedures and safety standards within the food industry
- Ability to perform meal preparation tasks efficiently while maintaining quality standards
