We are seeking an experienced Senior Technical Project Manager to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives within the financial services sector. You will manage enterprise-wide projects while aligning business objectives, technology delivery, governance, data quality, risk management, and operational requirements.
This role is open to candidates across Canada. Occasional adjustments to working hours may be required to support meetings across time zones.
Your future duties and responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end project delivery, managing scope, timelines, budgets, resources, quality, and deliverables.
- Establish and maintain project and data governance, ensuring appropriate stakeholder engagement and accountability.
- Develop and maintain project plans, balancing scope, quality, time, cost, and business priorities.
- Facilitate planning, governance, status, and decision-making sessions with sponsors, steering committees, business teams, and technology stakeholders.
- Manage project risks, issues, dependencies, change controls, and mitigation plans.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams, business data stewards, technology groups, and external vendors.
- Provide clear project status, financial, operational, and risk reporting to senior leadership.
- Support data quality, operational processes, change management, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure deliverables meet business requirements, compliance standards, quality expectations, budgets, and timelines.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
- Senior-level experience managing complex, cross-functional technology projects.
- Demonstrated experience managing project scope, budgets, timelines, resources, risks, issues, and change controls.
- Experience establishing and managing project governance and working with sponsors and steering committees.
- Experience with data governance, data-related projects, or data quality initiatives.
- Experience coordinating business, technology, operational, vendor, and senior leadership stakeholders.
- Strong project planning, reporting, risk management, and documentation skills.
- Ability to operate independently and manage competing priorities in a cross-functional environment.
- Strong communication, facilitation, leadership, stakeholder management, and decision-support skills.
- Financial services experience.
CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $75,000–$145,000. This role is an existing vacancy.
