We are introducing the Network Specialist II role to bring the proven operational model of the Network Operations Centre (NOC) and Transport Assurance teams into the IP Assurance team. For candidates outside our Service RADAR organization, this means adopting a unified horizontal model that focuses specialized Assurance teams entirely on the most critical, engineering hands-on tasks. This model leverages design thinking to lead advanced AI automation, "shift-left" remote resolutions, and a modernized future ServiceNow ecosystem to resolve issues faster and scale excellence.
As a Network Specialist II, you will optimize operational objectives and make recommendations in a culture of learning and continuous improvement. You'll play a key role in supporting the reliability and stability of our IP Core infrastructure. You will also be a vital player in influencing key stakeholders to identify innovative solutions to existing problems and champion them through to implementation.

What you’ll do
Support assurance activities for IP Core elements and services, investigating and resolving issues to maintain network reliability and stability
Proactively bring expertise and creative solutions to improving processes, team effectiveness, and productivity
Demonstrate Technical Project Ownership by driving critical network initiatives from conception to execution, demonstrating decisive technical judgment to keep projects moving forward
Apply Innovative Problem-solving by leveraging systematic troubleshooting methodologies and automation & AIOps to ideate rapid, effective solutions for complex network challenges
Identify opportunities for automating processes, reducing manual work, dispatches, ticket volume, and alarm noise to drive outstanding experiences and operational efficiency
Foster Cross-Functional Alignment by partnering with vendors, peer teams, and business stakeholders to seamlessly develop and deploy operational network and strategic system deliverables
Participate in incident bridges, work with vendors on incidents, and handle weekday escalation requests to support rapid issue resolution
Drive Capability Building & Growth by equipping operational teams with high-impact technical training, fostering peer development, and cultivating the specialized methodologies needed to navigate transformations
Establish strong feedback and continuous improvement loops with the teams to drive the right balance between financial outcomes, customer experience and team member success
Qualifications
What you bring
University degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a technology equivalent.
Three or more years of experience in ticket based network operations, IP Core assurance, or related IP technical support functions
Strong IP troubleshooting skills across core, distribution, aggregation and access networks, with the ability to support issue resolution in a fast-paced environment
You are talented at coaching and inspiring others, creating training materials, leading training sessions, supporting knowledge transfer activities, and elevating team engagement
You are highly skilled in problem-solving and attention to detail when investigating complex network issues
You have been commended for your excellence in communications (clear, concise and influential) and can work effectively across teams to support technical discussions
Expert written and verbal communicator with an obsessive eye for quality, demonstrated through your strong documentation skills and ability to develop, maintain, and update procedures and knowledge resources
You are able to learn quickly from success or failure, apply sound judgement, and adapt to new tools, technologies, and processes while navigating through change, ambiguity, and high pressure environments
Great-to-haves
Vendor certifications (e.g., Cisco, Juniper)
Experience with network automation tools or scripting languages (e.g., Python, Ansible)
Familiarity with alarm management or noise reduction initiatives
Background and/or past work experience in telecommunications, data centre, network, corporate security, or systems operations areas
Location: Any major Canadian city
Salary Range: $70,000-$120,000
Performance Bonus or Sales Incentive Plan: 12%
