Job Overview
We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Line Cook to join our kitchen team. The Line Cook will be responsible for preparing and cooking menu items according to Nene Chicken’s recipes and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cooking, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items, including fried chicken, side dishes, and other specialty items, according to Nene Chicken’s recipes and specifications.
- Follow proper food handling and sanitation procedures to ensure the safety and quality of food products.
- Maintain a clean and organized work station, including proper storage of ingredients and equipment.
- Assist with inventory management, including monitoring stock levels and replenishing supplies as needed.
- Collaborate with other kitchen team members to ensure timely and efficient preparation of food orders.
- Adhere to all food safety and hygiene regulations, including temperature control and sanitation standards.
- Assist with kitchen tasks as needed, including dishwashing, food preparation, and cleaning duties.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a line cook or similar role in a restaurant or food service establishment preferred.
- Knowledge of cooking techniques and kitchen equipment, including fryers, grills, and ovens.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to food quality and presentation.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Food handler’s certification or willingness to obtain certification.
