Job Title: Regional Manager, International Airports
As the Regional Manager, International Airports, you will be responsible to provide direction and leadership to our operations while focusing on safety, partner relationships and representing WestJet with airports and government agencies as required.
This is a skilled leader who will mentor and coach all our handling representatives to ensure operation performance standards are monitored and maintained while balancing the needs of our guests, our partners and our business. The Regional Manager, International Operations will also be accountable for creating and executing on action plans for our airports, their local teams, and our handling representatives.
This role will be to lead efficiencies and processes in conjunction with our team and our handling partners to ensure our department is aligned in delivering on the overall strategic direction of International Airports.
What you will bring to the team:
A minimum of 7 years leadership experience required in a customer service and operations focused experience. Airline specific experience will be given preference.
Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline is required
Business leadership experience in a large-scale operation with a significant level of internal and external dependencies and relationships.
Ability to travel approximately 50% of the time
Ability to obtain passports and visas for international travel
Knowledge of International regulations and guidelines (for example - TSA/Civil Aviation, UK High Commission etc.) an asset.
Multiple languages are an asset (French and Spanish)
