We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to take on a pivotal role in providing top-notch accounting services to our small and medium-sized clients. This position is ideal for an experienced Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) or CPA student, who is looking for a small firm environment to work with entrepreneurs and business owners of small to medium sized corporations as a trusted advisor. The successful candidate must thrive in a confidential environment, demonstrate flexibility and adaptability, work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Prepare and review month-end reconciliations and filings with government correspondence
- Prepare and review financial statements and Compilation engagements
-Follow our Company’s established accounting processes
- Prepare and review payroll, GST/HST and PST returns for all clients
- Perform individual and corporate tax filing and planning
-Respond to clients in a professional and timely manner.
- Prepare and review tax audit responses for the assigned clients.
-Schedule and track accounting tasks and work for all the bookkeepers.
-Ensure all the transactions, accounting and tax communication is done with utmost integrity, care and ethical consideration.
-Train and coach new hire employees to be assigned to the correct client group
- Prepare reports and deliver presentations to staff and clients as required
- Complete additional ad-hoc duties or assignments as needed
-Train and develop yourself and the team consistently
-Prepare engagement letters and take discovery calls with prospects.
**Required Qualifications & Experience:**
- Minimum 3 years of public practice experience
- Previous experience with Caseware/Caseview, tax filing software, Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), QuickBooks Online, Dext, Hubdoc, Xero
- Currently enrolled or completed a professional designation program (CPA designation preferred)
- required to have a high level of interpersonal skills in this role.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $60,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
