The Car Club is one of Ottawa's busiest used vehicle groups, with two high-traffic locations and a steady flow of pre-qualified buyers. We are looking for someone who wants to sell — not manage, not administrate, not wait around. You show up, you work your customers, and you get paid for what you produce.
This role is built for someone who gets energy from volume. You will be measured on deals closed and products sold — warranty, protection packages, and creditor insurance. The person who thrives here is competitive, coachable, and genuinely motivated by watching their commission stack up.
What You Actually Do
- Meet, greet, and qualify every customer who walks in or is handed off from our Business Development team or is generated by you.
- Guide customers through vehicle selection and present the right option clearly and confidently
- Present our aftermarket product suite — extended warranty, reconditioning packages, and creditor insurance — on every single deal, every time. Be able to work in industry software to calculate and present payments.
- Work deals from first contact through delivery — you own the relationship start to finish
- Follow up on unsold customers and referrals from your delivered clients
- Log every interaction in our CRM — if it's not in the system, it didn't happen
- Hit your monthly unit targets and aftermarket attachment targets — both matter equally here
What We Are Looking For
Automotive experience and bilingualism are both assets but not requirements. We have hired accountants, retail managers, and recent grads who outsell people who have been in dealerships for years. What we cannot teach is drive.
- You keep score. You know what you made last month, how many deals you closed, and what your closing rate is. If those numbers do not mean anything to you, this role is not for you.
- You are resilient. Sales has bad days. You reset, you do not spiral.
- You listen before you talk. The best salespeople ask the right question and shut up.
- You follow a process. We have a defined sales process and product presentation sequence. You follow it on every deal, not just when you feel like it.
- You want to earn. The comp plan here rewards output directly. A motivated person on this plan should clear six figures. That requires volume and aftermarket penetration — not one or the other.
- Valid Ontario G licence. Vaid OMVIC license but can be obtained after employment.
