The Burk’s Falls Family Health Team and Sundridge & District Medical Centre are expanding their teams and recruiting 3 Nurse Practitioners to create a community of practice in the beautiful Almaguin Highlands. This team of NPs working to full scope will provide high quality patient-centered care and contribute in a meaningful way to the wellbeing of the community. We provide primary care services, chronic disease management, and health promotion & disease prevention, within an interdisciplinary model of care and are seeking NPs to provide comprehensive primary health care to patients.
The minimum requirements for this position are:
- Nurse Practitioner Certification
- Registration in the Extended Class with the College of Nurses in Ontario;
- Member of the Nurse Practitioner’s Association of Ontario;
- Current Basic First Aid and CPR Certification.

2. Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
3. Ability to work as part of a team with a variety of health service providers;
4. Good judgment, time management, attention to detail and priority setting abilities;
5. Flexible within an active work environment, and is able to work autonomously;
6. Excellent computer skills and demonstrated proficiency with a variety of software programs including (Google Docs, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
7. Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records systems (experience with Practice Solutions and or Accuro would be an asset) as well as Windows operating systems
