The Plumbing & Electrical Procurement Coordinator will be the person that the plumbing and mechanical teams count on to source materials, place orders, and make sure everything shows up when and where it's needed. You'll be based in the office at the modular hall in Trenton, working closely with the plumbing and mechanical supervisors and our engineering group, and in close step with the electrical side. A good part of your week is spent out on the floor with the trades, who are essentially your customers, and making sure what you're buying lines up with what they need to keep building. On-site is the default, since staying close to the trades and the build is a big part of doing this well.
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Purchase plumbing and mechanical materials for our modular projects, from placing orders through to getting them delivered.
· Perform material take-offs for plumbing and mechanical scopes, or coordinate outsourcing them where needed, so orders are built on accurate quantities.
· Track orders and deliveries from purchase order to arrival on the floor and stay ahead of anything that could hold up a build.
· Keep purchasing, delivery, and materials information current in Acumatica and Procore.
· Grow your knowledge on the mechanical side over time, building on an already strong plumbing background.
REQUIREMENTS
· A commercial or business head for buying, and comfortable dealing with suppliers and keeping good relationships with them.
· Strong plumbing knowledge, and a genuine interest in learning the mechanical side.
· Organized and on top of the details, since a lot of small deliveries must land in the right order.
· Comfortable spending time out on the floor with the trades and treating them like customers.
· Able to work in systems like Acumatica and Procore or pick them up quickly.
· Degree or Diploma in Business, Supply Chain, or Construction Management, or significant relevant experience is an asset
