Overview
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Salon Apprentice to join our dynamic team. This entry-level position offers a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the beauty industry while working alongside experienced stylists. Responsibilities
- Assist senior stylists with client services, including shampooing, conditioning, and preparing clients for styling
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting clients warmly and addressing their needs
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, tools, and salon areas in accordance with health regulations
- Support retail sales by recommending products suited to clients’ hair types and needs
- Engage in upselling services and retail products to enhance client experience and salon revenue
- Manage front desk duties such as scheduling appointments, answering phone calls, and checking clients in/out
- Observe and learn various hair styling techniques during client appointments
- Ensure a welcoming and professional atmosphere for all clients
Skills
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Basic understanding of hair styling concepts or a keen interest in learning new techniques
- Knowledge of sanitation procedures within a salon environment
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members
- Sales skills, including upselling retail products and promoting salon services
- Good organizational skills to manage appointments and maintain cleanliness
- Excellent communication skills to understand client needs and provide appropriate recommendations
- Ability to work well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
