The impact you’ll make
As the Senior Product Manager, Analytics Platform you will be responsible for building best in class data analytics & reporting platform. Your mandate will be to build products that help turn the wealth of data into actionable insights and meaningful recommendations driving growth and improving customer engagement across all our lines of business. You will help define product vision, strategy & roadmap and bring it to reality. You’ll measure your success with KPI’s that include clients/businesses onboarded, daily active users, stability, speed to integrate and others.
We are looking for a candidate that is obsessed with delivering the most customer-centric experience on the planet, showing proven success in ownership, bias for action, and thinking big. The candidate will need to exhibit excellent judgment, prioritizing between different business needs and between features, architectural improvements, and operational excellence. The right candidate will bring a good mix of experience with big data technologies, product management skill set, and a roll-up-your-sleeves, entrepreneurial approach.
What you'll do
Own the BI product roadmap, have line-of-sight on data analytic and reporting needs across different functional teams in the organization
Be the voice of end consumer & client businesses to help create data platform as a product
Conduct business stakeholder interviews to understand user problems and translate them into technical specification that adheres to product roadmap
Participate in collecting feedback from users and translating these finding into product development
Challenge the status quo and create products & features which have a step change impact on customer experience
Manage stakeholder expectations and align senior leadership on vision & roadmap
Be responsible & accountable for achieving the data platform goals in collaboration with business & technical teams
Be the subject matter expert on data analytics – helping business clients use data effectively to generate insights
Manage product development by ensuring the team of analysts, data owners and technical developers are delivering the right product in a timely fashion

You have strong knowledge of product management principles and have a set of tried & tested best practices
You have had experience building scalable data analytics & insights platforms for large enterprise
You can easily build relationships and have been part of large, cross functional teams that are working to solve complex problems and build products for millions of Canadians (both customers and colleagues)
You have a customer first approach to building products, leveraging research and data paired with empathy to build experiences that create customer stickiness
You have an entrepreneurial spirit and are willing to roll up your sleeves to get the job done
You are obsessed with testing and experimentation is a core pillar of how you approach product development – aka you aren’t happy unless you’ve learned something after shipping
You’ve got a growth mindset – you know there’s always a better way to do things and are willing to disrupt yourself or the status quo
2-3+ years of product management or business system analyst experience working with data analytic and reporting platform
Industry experience in business intelligence and data warehouse technologies
Experience working closely with Engineering, data analytics & other business functions
Proficient with SQL and logical data modelling
Experience in defining success metrics for reporting solutions and data
Knowledge of business terminology and ability to tie it to data
Solid stakeholder management skills
Ability to work independently and sift through ambiguity
Strong attention to detail and project management skill
Solid understanding and proficiency in using data analytics tools, Looker or GCP BigQuery are assets
