Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Carpenter Helper to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist experienced carpenters in various construction projects, demonstrating a willingness to learn and grow within the trade. This role is essential for supporting the efficient completion of carpentry tasks, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards.
Duties
- Assist in the installation of various structures and fixtures, including drywall, siding, and flooring.
- Help assemble and install components according to schematics and project specifications.
- Perform heavy lifting and manual labor as required on job sites.
- Utilize hand tools effectively for various construction tasks.
- Support carpenters in measuring, cutting, and shaping materials as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency.
- Participate in construction estimating by providing input on material needs and project timelines.
Requirements
- Previous experience or knowledge in carpentry or construction is preferred but not mandatory.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and blueprints.
- Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing.
- Familiarity with hand tools commonly used in carpentry work.
- A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn new skills in the field.
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively on job sites.
- Basic understanding of construction safety practices is a plus.
