2nd/3rd Year Apprentice or Journeyman | Alloy Industries
Alloy Industries is a growing welding and fabrication company specializing in custom fabrication, heavy truck and trailer repair, oilfield support, commercial projects, and specialty/ custom welding and fabrication.
We are looking for skilled Welders & Fabricators to join our growing team. We are open to candidates who are 2nd or 3rd Year Welding Apprentices or Journeyman Welders.

At Alloy Industries, no two days look the same. You’ll work on everything from custom fabrication and sheet metal projects to heavy equipment repairs, trailer modifications, and field welding.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Read and work from shop drawings, production drawings, blueprints, and welding specifications.
- Complete custom fabrication projects from layout and material preparation through fitting and final welding.
- Perform quality MIG, TIG, spool gun, and other welding processes as required.
- Fabricate and repair heavy trucks, trailers, equipment, and custom components.
- Perform custom sheet metal fabrication, including measuring, cutting, fitting, bending, and forming.
- Operate fabrication equipment including press brakes, shears, saws, and cutting equipment.
- Safely operate manual and semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment.
- Perform portable/field welding and repairs as required.
- Troubleshoot equipment, fabrication, and repair challenges.
- Assist with equipment repair and maintenance.
- Work independently while also contributing to a tight-knit team.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Assist with other shop and company operations as required.
WHAT YOU BRING
- 2nd or 3rd Year Welding Apprentice or Journeyman Welder.
- Strong welding, fabrication, and fitting skills.
- Ability to read and understand welding symbols, drawings, and specifications.
- MIG welding experience; TIG and spool gun experience is an asset.
- Mechanical aptitude and hands-on repair experience.
- Heavy equipment, truck, trailer, or oilfield repair experience is an asset.
- Experience with press brakes, shears, and other fabrication equipment is an asset.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Leadership qualities and accountability.
- Physically fit and comfortable working in a hands-on shop environment.
- Valid Class 5 driver's licence with a clean driver's abstract.
- Reliable transportation.
- Must be local to the Grande Prairie / Clairmont area.
EXPERIENCE & TICKETS

EXPERIENCE:
· Heavy equipment repair experience
- Truck and trailer repair experience
- Oilfield or industrial fabrication experience
- Forklift experience
TICKETS:
- Red Seal Journeyman Certificate
- Apprenticeship documentation
- H2S Alive
- First Aid
- Other oilfield safety tickets
