Overview
INOAC is a leading tier 1 automotive supplier, specializing in painted exterior products for the automotive industry. INOAC’s core business as an Automotive Tier1 supplier is in the design, development and production of plastic systems and components to major OEMs in North America.
We are seeking a skilled IT Support Technician (Contract) to provide assistance and support to our organization. The IT Support Technician is responsible for providing day-to-day technical support in a manufacturing and office environment. This role manages service tickets, prioritizes urgent production and business requests, and helps ensure the reliable operation of end-user devices and IT systems.
The position will also support ongoing Pocket-E MES and JDE implementation activities, including equipment setup, testing, troubleshooting, and end-user support.
Key Responsibilities
· Provide onsite IT support for production-floor and office users.
· Troubleshoot Windows 10/11 desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, and peripherals.
· Support manufacturing workstations and shared production PCs.
· Assist with Microsoft 365 applications, including Outlook, Teams, and OneDrive.
· Perform basic user account tasks, including password resets and access verification.
· Troubleshoot basic network connectivity issues, including LAN, Wi-Fi, printer connections, and VPN connectivity.
· Set up and replace PCs, monitors, barcode scanners, label printers, and other IT equipment.
Assist with IT equipment inventory, asset tracking, and device deployment.
Perform basic software installation, updates, and troubleshooting on end-user devices.
Provide basic support for mobile devices and handheld devices used in office and production environments.
· Manage assigned service tickets and prioritize urgent production and business issues.
· Assist with IT activities related to the Pocket-E MES and JDE implementation projects.
· Help set up and test workstations, barcode scanners, label printers, and other devices required for Pocket-E and JDE.
· Assist with application testing, troubleshooting, and issue reporting during implementation and go-live.
· Provide first-level user support for Pocket-E and JDE.
Required Skills & Qualifications
· Good working knowledge of Windows 10/11 and Microsoft 365 applications.
· Experience with network file shares, mapped drives, and printer management.
· Working knowledge of Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID user and permission management.
· Basic networking knowledge, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, LAN, Wi-Fi, and VPN connectivity.
· Strong troubleshooting and customer-service skills.
· Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
· Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Experience
· Experience providing IT support in a manufacturing or production environment.
· Experience supporting MES, ERP, or other manufacturing systems in a production environment.
· Experience supporting production-floor technology, including workstations, barcode scanners, and industrial label printers.
· Familiarity with IT service management tools and ticketing systems.
· Exposure to system implementation, testing, deployment, and go-live support.
Preferred Certifications / Training
· CompTIA A+
· Microsoft 365 Fundamentals (MS-900)
· Microsoft Endpoint Administrator (MD-102)
· ITIL Foundation
Pay: $30.00-$35.00 per hour
