Role Overview
We’re looking for an experienced Property Claims Supervisor to lead and support a high-performing claims team in Edmonton, Alberta. In this hybrid role, you’ll oversee day-to-day operations, guide team members, support service excellence, and help create a collaborative environment where people can do their best work. Occasional travel to other branches may be required.
Responsibilities
- Lead the daily operations of the property claims team, helping ensure effective workflow, service delivery, and production.
- Review and approve diary worksheets, reports, workflows, and related claims activity.
- Provide technical guidance, coaching, mentoring, and supervision to support employee success and development.
- Identify training needs and support onboarding, orientation, and on-the-job learning.
- Monitor time and expense recording, performance standards, account compliance, billing procedures, AR, and WIP.
- Maintain current knowledge of client expectations, service standards, and internal requirements.
- Build strong relationships with clients, customers, staff, and vendors while supporting customer relations initiatives.
- Follow up on client concerns or complaints and help identify practical, service-focused solutions.
- Support business development activities, including sales calls as directed.
- Oversee administrative, supply, equipment, systems, and management-information activities as required.
Requirements
- A minimum of 10 years of functional and technical experience handling property claims.
- Alberta Independent Adjusting License Level 3.
- Full CIP designation.
- Post-secondary education and technical training related to the business unit or service line.
- Strong supervisory, coaching, and team-building skills.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, service-focused environment.
- Strong communication, report-writing, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- A collaborative approach and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.
- Reliable transportation.
