Job Title: CNC 5-Axis Machinist (Robotics)
We are seeking a skilled CNC 5-Axis Machinist with expertise in robotics to operate and maintain complex machining equipment. The ideal candidate will adhere to quality standards, ensure precision, and demonstrate problem-solving abilities in a fast-paced production environment.
Responsibilities
- Follow all policies and procedures outlined in the Quality Management System in accordance with AS 9100 International Standard.
- Maintain and accurately complete in-process inspection sheets for each job to ensure quality control.
- Complete first-off tooling and fixture checklists for every new setup to verify proper configuration.
- Deburr first-off and production parts where feasible to ensure quality and safety.
- Demonstrate proficiency in setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC 5-Axis machines while ensuring dimensional accuracy.
- Identify and troubleshoot production issues such as out-of-tolerance machining or poor surface finishes, implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Select, load, and measure appropriate tools and holders required for each job.
- Utilize measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, height gauges, thread gauges, plug gauges, and optical comparators with precision.
- Set up and operate machines and tools efficiently, ensuring consistent quality.
- Recognize potential problems in the production process and take proactive steps to resolve them.
- Troubleshoot and adjust within machine controls to bring parts within tolerance independently, without supervision.
- Set up and calibrate measuring tools, boring bars, and bore gauges.
- Align fixtures or parts using flat or pin references with an indicator.
- Measure and indicate bores, bosses, and pins accurately using indicators.
- Check tool run-out to maintain tooling integrity and precision.
- Select the appropriate tool holders for different tools to optimize performance.
- Demonstrate versatility across multiple machine centers, contributing to flexible manufacturing operations.
- Understand and operate HASS (Horizontal Automation System) control effectively, which is crucial for automating complex machining processes, increasing production efficiency, and reducing manual intervention. Knowledge of HASS control allows for troubleshooting automation issues, optimizing program runs, and maintaining high levels of productivity and accuracy in automated machining environments.
- Complete setups and production run efficiently, meeting standard times with minimal supervision.
- Achieve and maintain a production efficiency of 75% or higher.
- Maintain a First Pass Acceptance rate of 60% or higher on repeat jobs, emphasizing quality first-time yields.
- Follow all safety guidelines, including the proper use of safety equipment and safety procedures.
- Follow all applicable work instructions and maintain comprehensive records of work performed.

Pay: $26.00-$31.00 per hour
