Tokyo Express is a fast-casual Japanese restaurant chain with multiple locations across Edmonton. We serve high-quality, freshly prepared Japanese food in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
The Role
We are looking for an experienced Store Manager to lead daily operations at one of our Edmonton locations. You will be responsible for the overall performance of your store — people, product, and profitability.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all daily store operations including opening and closing procedures
- Lead, schedule, train, and develop a team of crew members
- Recruit and onboard new staff as needed
- Ensure all food is prepared and served to Tokyo Express quality and portion standards
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen and dining area at all times
- Enforce Alberta Health Services food safety and hygiene standards
- Manage inventory ordering, receiving, and stock rotation
- Monitor and control food cost, labor cost, and waste
- Handle cash management, till reconciliation, and daily deposits
- Resolve customer complaints promptly and professionally, including delivery platform issues
- Review daily and weekly sales reports and take action on variances
- Report incidents and operational issues to ownership per company protocol
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 3 years of restaurant management experience in Canada
- Proven ability to manage food cost and labor targets
- Valid Food Handler Certification (or ability to obtain upon hire)
- Experience with POS systems and inventory management
- Available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Legally entitled to work in Canada
Pay: $20.00 per hour
