The role of a Performance and Analytics Analyst involves many different responsibilities. The Analyst will be responsible for building a strong partnership with the corresponding Client Brand Analytics Manager, Business Owner, and other agency partners. The ideal candidate must be able to proactively communicate ideas and opportunities, as well as conduct in depth analysis to support recommendations and insights. They are also responsible for executing data quality assurance based on rigorous protocols and have strong project management skills. This role also includes the ability to independently troubleshoot and address quality control issues, generate reports and analysis from data and merge and generate data sets for analysis.
Responsibilities:
Defines analytic program needs and recommends proper analytical methodologies and execute against these programs
Develop a strong client relationship and is viewed as an Analytic SME
Develop measurement plans and execute analysis based on requirements within the plan
Ability to turn data into insightful findings and business recommendations; tell a compelling story in business terms; illustrate the “so-what”
Drive process improvement and quality control for key deliverables
Proactively identifies issues and escalates them when necessary
Ability to reconcile disjoined data sources as needed
Utilize data mining techniques and queries to gather business intelligence
Leverage a variety of tools to deliver rapid-response data mining and insights, while also working on large, multifaceted analysis
Design, develop and implement performance metrics and tracking processes to measure the effectiveness of the predictive modelling efforts
Responsible for directly managing medium/large ad-hoc projects and communicating status updates to key stakeholders
Must have aptitude to mentor and train Analysts on the larger team
Supports analytic implementation, documentation and strategy on new approaches for analytical projects and future opportunities
Identifies opportunities to implement new processes, tools, techniques and analytical frameworks designed to better serve our customers and increase department operating efficiencies
Identifies areas of opportunity for the team to improve quality and drive efficiencies
Experience driving the data strategy across multiple customer touch points
Effectively communicate status of projects both verbally and in writing to management
Effectively communicate roadblocks, and identify ways to mitigate risks, escalating at-risk projects to management
Required Skills
Education and Experience:
Advanced working knowledge of web site analytic platforms including Adobe Marketing Cloud products (Adobe Analytics, Site Catalyst, Ad-Hoc Analysis, Google Analytics)
Working knowledge of business intelligence and visualization tools like Power BI, Tableau, Google Data Studio
Self-starter with 3-4 years of analytic experience in an Agency or Marketing environment a plus
Experience in Digital Analytics (Web, Online Advertising, Search, Social)
Experience in website tagging (GTM or Adobe DTM), data layer deployment experience/knowledge an asset
Must demonstrate strong analytical skills with a solid understanding of identifying significance
Experience with Adobe Audience Manager and Target is a plus
Must have strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Pride in work product with high accountability, initiative, and thought leadership
Must be able to handle multiple clients and projects simultaneously
Advanced skills in MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) required
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research, or Marketing preferred
Highly accountable self-starter with the ability to work well within a group, as well as independently
