ParTech, Inc. is seeking a QE Lead to join our Brink Point-of-Sale (POS) software development team. This will be a hands-on management role with both quality assurance and management responsibilities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in software quality assurance, while also having an appreciation for managing qa engineers.

Fully contribute to the Quality Assurance Team as both a member of the team and a manager
Lead and mentor 3-6 quality assurance engineers that represent a cross-section of the larger QA team
Work with the development and product teams to ensure consistent, high quality deliveries
Manage projects as needed to ensure adherence to budget, schedule, and scope, while dynamically adjusting for any changes
Continually strive for increased efficiency and quality
Maintain highly cohesive and collaborative relationships with team members and other coworkers
Recruit and train new team members as needed
Regularly engage with team members to assess and promote job satisfaction and career growth
Mentor team members in both technical and leadership capacities
Assign work to team members as needed and ensure timely completion of committed work
Help formulate, refine, and enforce department standards, policies and procedures
Review test plans, test cases, and defects to encourage the development of new test strategies, and maintain a continuous improvement environment to improve quality and efficiency.
Offer continuous improvement by assessing customer issues for root cause and future prevention
Participate in testing efforts, working together to meet deliverables
Maintain a high degree of confidentiality concerning PAR's and customer's information
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Minimum of eight (8) years of quality assurance experience in the software industry
One (1) to three (3) years of supervisory experience
Bachelors in Computer Science/Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience
Must have a desire for achieving excellence in customer satisfaction, process and product quality and reliability
Excellent problem solving, interpersonal communication and project management skills a must
Proactive communication style; ability to question, clarify and document
Ability to manage/prioritize multiple tasks and projects to meet deadlines
Self-starter who requires minimal supervision
Understanding of automated testing frameworks, goals, limitations and strategies a strong plus
Experience with load and performance testing a strong plus
Ability to understand REST or SOAP API, JSON and XML formats with experience using API testing tools like JMeter, Postman or SoapUI.
Proficiency with and/or familiarity with a variety of software testing tools such as Quality Center, LoadRunner, TestComplete, Blazemeter, Load Test, Coded UI, etc
