THE OPPORTUNITY:
Big Mountain Activewear is seeking an energetic Outside Sales Representative to join our team as the face of the company in supporting Calgary and the surrounding area. The role includes identifying leads, developing client pursuit strategies.
As a Outside Sales Representative at Big Mountain, you will strategically market, promote, and sell a full range of Promotional products and teamwear. You will play a pivotal role in driving business growth and expansion through the acquisition of new clients and the development of strategic partnerships. You will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, cultivating relationships with potential clients, and negotiating agreements to achieve sales targets and revenue objectives. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing existing accounts with a focus on developing new clients, opportunities and our brand. Although having industrial experience is a plus, great interpersonal skills coupled with a passion for new technology and innovation is key! Reporting directly to sales management, the Outside Sales Representative will have a passion for sustainability, a hunter mentality, and proven experience in developing new business opportunities and partnerships in a variety of verticals.

POSTION RESPONSIBILITIES:
You will be reporting directly to the Sales Manager and will be accountable for developing and maintaining an account list. Other day-to-day responsibilities will include:
o Securing new accounts through cold calling and cross selling
o THIS POSITION WILL BE HEAVY ON COLD CALLING AND PROSPECTING
o Developing New business Leads
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities and partnerships to grow the company's client base.
o enhanced value through the generation of unique solutions
o Providing Clients with quotes / pricing / presentations
o Providing guidance on products and pricing
o Following up with customers to maintain and strengthen relationships
o Meeting or exceeding sales targets / KPI’s through utilization of sales tools
o Analyzing data to identify new growth opportunities
o Researching customer data to help grow accounts
o Maintaining an up-to-date understanding of available products and industry trends
o Maintaining records of sales leads
- Cultivate and nurture long-term relationships with existing and potential customers, leveraging deep product knowledge to address their evolving needs
- Ensure pricing accuracy and resolve discrepancies in coordination with internal departments
- Significant time out of the office meeting with current and potential customers, searching for new avenues to grow sales, and developing business relationships for Big Mountain
- Market research and development of a prospective client database
- Research, identify and explore new business opportunities
- Support the sales cycle including identifying opportunities, leads management, client education, presentations and deliver proposals and close deals
- Build local brand awareness
- Represent the organization in local business activities, providing insights and contacts
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities and partnerships to grow the company's client base.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring customer satisfaction and repeat business.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- A minimum of 2 years in a Sales / Business Development Role is required
- Excellent selling and negotiation skills – Hunter Mentality
- Above average communication skills, both written and verbal
- Industry experience is an asset
- Client Management Skills - experience building and maintaining relationships
- Experience working as a collaborative team member in a dynamic sales environment.
- Ability to seamlessly adapt to a growing work environment
- Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.
- Exceptional organization and time management qualities
- Strong problem solving and creative solution skills
- High Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- A valid driver’s licence with the ability to travel within territory to meet with prospective and current clients
-Post-secondary education, degree or diploma related to Business or Marketing is considered an asset
WHAT WE OFFER:
- Competitive Compensation Package with a yearly base salary of $40,000 - $50,000.
