Overview
We are seeking energetic and vigilant Uniformed Loss Prevention Officers to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for deterring theft, monitoring premises, and ensuring a safe environment through active surveillance and professional engagement. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to community safety while working in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.
Duties
- Conduct visible patrols inside and outside the premises to deter theft and monitor activity
- Observe customer behavior using CCTV surveillance systems and report suspicious activity promptly
- Engage with shoplifters or suspicious individuals in a professional, non-confrontational manner
- Maintain detailed incident reports and logs of daily activities and observations
- Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency responders when necessary during incidents
- Monitor CCTV footage regularly to identify potential security threats or thefts
- Enforce store policies and safety procedures consistently to uphold security standards
Skills
- Prior experience in law enforcement, security, or loss prevention is highly desirable
- Strong surveillance skills with proficiency in CCTV systems operation
- Excellent observational skills with keen attention to detail
- Ability to remain calm, professional, and assertive in high-pressure situations
- Good communication skills for engaging with the public and team members effectively
- Valid B.C. Security Licence and valid driver’s license required; willingness to obtain necessary certifications if needed
- Fluency in English (reading, writing, speaking) is essential

Pay: $18.49-$22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16.0 – 40.0 per week
