Beautiful aren't they? The rolling hills of a professional, well-kept golf course give you a feeling of pride. You are organized and helpful, friendly and efficient. In your role of Greens Keeper you maintain the golf course grounds and all its amenities, ensuring a seamless operation between the pro shop, golf members/guests and hotel management. You understand that VIPs and frequent guests -- as well as someone who will only have the pleasure of experiencing your course once - deserve to play on a great course - one that is well maintained and kept in pristine condition. That is where you come in. In the role of Greens Keeper you will:

Be A Keeper of the Course --In your role you make all beautiful. Duties include mowing the fairways, rough, green's tees and apron and placing tee markers and pin holes. You will be involved in whipping the grass, shoveling, gardening (including weeding, dead heading and watering), raking sand traps, pruning trees, watering the grass areas and helping to dig trenches for irrigation and drainage as needed. You will also be responsible for disposing of any environmental hazardous materials used in your role according to law.

Be a Team Player -- you may be asked to assist with special project duties from time to time, as well as with other golf course related roles as the team supports each other and does what is needed to make the guest experience a great one.

Be a Safety & Security Agent -- following your hotel's established safety and security policies and procedures. Anticipate problems and call management as needed.

Job Requirements

Must have a minimum of two years' experience working in the daily maintenance of a golf course and either have or be in the process of obtaining a certificate of achievement from a recognized college in regards to golf course Turf Management and/or Landscape Technician -- both to have covered soil science, botany, turf grass and/or land plant material identification, pest and disease identification and symptoms. Must be able to operate any piece of equipment that is used in the day-to-day maintenance of a golf course, e.g. greens mower, fair way mower, lawn mower, grass trimmer and irrigation and hand tools. This role is exposed to a variety of outdoor weather conditions, has variable shifts and requires flexibility in hours including weekends (with potential short notice), works around chemical/fumes/ odor/hazards, and needs to be able to spend long hours walking around. Must be able to prioritize quickly and be able to effectively listen to and understand information as well as to clarify and convey information. Medium work -- Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
