We are currently seeking a highly skilled Structural Assembler to join our team on an independent contractor basis for a 3-6 month project.
Job Description:
As a Structural Assembler, you will play a vital role in our aerospace project by assembling and fabricating structural components that are critical to the performance and safety of our aircraft. This role requires exceptional attention to detail, a strong understanding of aerospace assembly processes, and a commitment to meeting project deadlines and quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Assembly and Fabrication: Precisely assemble and fabricate structural components using various materials, tools, and equipment in accordance with engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
- Quality Assurance: Perform quality checks to ensure all components meet aerospace industry standards, and identify and address any defects or discrepancies in the assembly process.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all assembly and fabrication activities, including materials used, work hours, and any issues encountered.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe work environment and prevent accidents.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other team members, including engineers and designers, to resolve any technical or design-related issues that may arise during the assembly process.
- Efficiency: Strive to complete tasks efficiently and within project timelines to meet delivery schedules.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and provide feedback to enhance the assembly process.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Structural Assembler in the aerospace industry.
- Knowledge of aerospace materials, assembly techniques, and quality standards.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Proficiency in using various hand and power tools for assembly.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work well in a team.
- Safety-conscious and compliant with all safety regulations.
- Strong communication skills.
- Reliable and able to meet project deadlines.

Education and Certifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Relevant certifications or training in aerospace assembly is a plus.
Job Type: Temporary
Pay: $45.00-$55.00 per hour
