Site Superintendent – ICI Interior Construction
Location: Downtown Toronto, ON
Salary: $100,000 – $120,000 + Benefits / Package
About the Role
Our client is an established ICI construction firm specializing in interior commercial projects across the GTA, with a strong focus on downtown Toronto. Their work includes office renovations, commercial interiors, tenant improvements, institutional spaces, and occupied building projects.
They are currently looking for a Site Superintendent to manage day-to-day site operations on interior ICI projects. This is a great opportunity for a hands-on Superintendent with experience coordinating trades, managing schedules, enforcing safety, and delivering high-quality interior construction projects in active commercial environments.
Responsibilities
Manage daily site operations on commercial interior and ICI renovation projects.
Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, site staff, and project stakeholders.
Maintain project schedules and ensure work is completed on time and to specification.
Oversee site safety, cleanliness, logistics, and overall site organization.
Conduct regular site meetings and provide updates to the Project Manager.
Review drawings, specifications, deficiencies, and construction details.
Coordinate inspections, deliveries, material handling, and trade sequencing.
Ensure work is completed in accordance with drawings, building codes, safety standards, and client expectations.
Manage occupied-site conditions, including communication, access, noise, cleanliness, and disruption control.
Identify and resolve site issues quickly and professionally.
Maintain daily reports, site documentation, photos, and progress updates.
Qualifications
Experience as a Site Superintendent or Site Supervisor within ICI construction.
Strong experience with commercial interiors, office renovations, tenant improvements, and/or institutional interior projects.
Experience working on projects in downtown Toronto is considered an asset.
Strong understanding of trade coordination, scheduling, site logistics, safety, and quality control.
Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
Comfortable managing multiple trades in fast-paced renovation or fit-out environments.
Strong communication and leadership skills.
Ability to work with Project Managers, consultants, clients, building management, and subcontractors.
Experience working in occupied buildings or live commercial environments is considered an asset.
Valid safety certifications, including Working at Heights and WHMIS, are preferred.
Compensation
Base salary of $100,000 – $120,000, depending on experience.
