Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Electrician to join our team, responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems across various projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial and construction electrical work, with proficiency in reading blueprints and schematics. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse electrical installations, including low voltage systems and programmable logic controllers (PLCs), ensuring safety and compliance with industry standards. The Electrician will play a vital role in supporting renovation projects and ongoing maintenance operations, contributing to the efficiency and safety of our facilities.
Duties
- Interpret and work from blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to install and troubleshoot electrical systems.
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, control systems, and equipment in industrial or construction settings.
- Work with low voltage systems, PLCs, and other automation components to ensure proper operation.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to complete electrical tasks efficiently and safely.
- Assist with renovation projects by upgrading or replacing outdated electrical infrastructure.
- Conduct routine inspections to identify potential issues and perform necessary repairs or adjustments.
- Follow all safety protocols and industry regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople such as plumbers or carpenters during construction or renovation projects.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an electrician in industrial or construction environments.
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and electrical diagrams.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment used in electrical work.
- Experience working with low voltage systems and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
- Familiarity with renovation projects involving electrical upgrades or modifications.
- Handyman experience is a plus for versatile troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to interpret technical documents accurately and follow detailed instructions.
