Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and detailed-oriented individual to join our finance team. This is a hands-on role responsible for full-cycle accounting & financial operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a thorough understanding of accounting principles, and a passion for delivering high quality team support. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will support multiple businesses and play an integral role in maintaining and ensuring accuracy, transparency and efficiency in our accounting operations. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting operations, accounting processes, solving problems, and working collaboratively across organizations.
Key Responsibilities
Full- Cycle Accounting & Financial Operations (Hands-On)
· Execute full-cycle accounting (GL, AP, AR, Payroll, Bank Reconciliations)
· Government filings & remittances (CRA GST/Source deductions, WorkSafe BC, PST, EHT)
· Project setup, job costing and profitability analysis
· Collaborate with colleagues to provide financial insight and support business operations
· Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy
· Support the implementation of new software systems
· Document financial policies and procedures
· Monitor cash flow and support financial activities
· Work closely with colleagues and management to provide financial insight and operational support.
· Assist managers in understanding financial results and profitability drivers
· Support internal and external audits as required
· Work alongside our Financial Controller as a trusted partner in monthly, quarterly and annual reporting.
Qualifications
· Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance or related field
· Minimum 5 years’ progressive accounting experience with full-cycle accounting responsibilities
· Strong understanding of Canadian payroll, CRA remittances, GST, PST, WCB & EHT
· Experience with payroll processing and benefits administration
· Sage 50 Accounting Software
· Microsoft Office Suite – Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills

Pay: $73,000.00-$110,000.00 per year
