This position serves as HR recruitment specialist for all functional areas of the organization. Develop and implement recruiting systems to ensure compliance with Human Resource systems and programs.
RECRUITING AND STAFFING
Supports recruiting efforts by developing strategies to attract and retain employees
Plans activities to carry out such functions as developing sources of qualified applicants, screening applicants, scheduling and conducting interviews, administering tests, checking references and background, and evaluating applicant qualifications.
Assists in the preparation and maintains job descriptions.
Maintains internal job posting program.
Maintains contacts with educational institutions, employment agencies, placement firms, and other sources of applicants.
Determines Internet online recruiting strategies for attracting and recruiting candidates.
Manages on-campus and off-site recruitment programs including job fairs, trade shows, and media presence.
Prepares and analyzes statistical reports and other data to monitor applicant flow, selection, and turnover for compliance with legal regulations and with organization goals and policies.
Work with colleges and other educational institutions to develop relationships for recruiting new employees
Contributes to the design of corporate HR strategies and systems that drive the desired culture, employee behavior and company performance
Demonstrated knowledge & experience in various human resources disciplines:
2-5 years recruitment experience. Working knowledge of HR laws & regulations and related agencies.
Strong leadership skills, ability to influence others
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Strong communication skills both written and verbal
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Strong PC skills
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Human Resources or a related field preferred
Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
Experience in the diagnostics or medical device field highly preferred.
Experience gained in a staffing firm environment focused on high-volume commercial staffing an asset
