Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Music Teacher to inspire students through engaging music education. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children across various age groups, including early childhood education, and possess strong communication skills. This role involves developing and implementing music curricula, fostering a love for music, and supporting students with diverse learning needs, including those with disabilities. The Music Teacher will utilize instructional design principles and technology such as Learning Management Systems (LMS) to deliver effective lessons in a supportive classroom environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver comprehensive music lessons tailored to different age groups and skill levels, incorporating instructional design techniques.
- Utilize LMS platforms to organize lesson plans, track student progress, and communicate with students and parents effectively.
- Adapt teaching methods to accommodate students with special needs or disabilities, ensuring an inclusive learning environment.
- Incorporate elements of early childhood education to foster foundational musical skills in young learners.
- Provide tutoring and additional support to students requiring extra help in music or related subjects such as math and writing skills.
- Design assessments to evaluate student understanding and progress, adjusting instruction accordingly.
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and classroom activities to enhance overall educational experience.
- Maintain a positive classroom atmosphere that encourages creativity, participation, and respect among students.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding student performance and areas for improvement.
Qualifications
- Proven classroom experience teaching music or related subjects to children of various ages.
- Strong communication skills for effective instruction and parent engagement.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or in special education settings is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of LMS platforms for instructional delivery and student management.
- Background in early childhood education is preferred.
- Skills in tutoring, instructional design, and curriculum development are advantageous.
- Ability to teach additional subjects such as math or writing is a plus.

Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
