Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Office Furniture Installer to join our team. This role involves assembling, installing, and configuring office furniture at client sites, ensuring that all installations meet quality standards and client specifications. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team. Prior experience in furniture installation or related trades is a plus but not required, as training will be provided.
Duties
- Assemble and install various types of office furniture, including desks, cubicles, conference tables, and shelving units, according to provided specifications and diagrams.
- Safely transport furniture components to designated areas within client facilities.
- Use hand tools and power tools to securely fasten furniture pieces in place.
- Ensure all installations are level, stable, and aligned properly for aesthetic appeal and safety standards.
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of packaging materials responsibly.
- Adhere to safety protocols at all times to prevent accidents or injuries during installations.
Requirements:
- Punctual, reliable, and dependable
- Reliable means of transportation to arrive at the warehouse located in Brampton
- You must be very hard-working and dedicated
- Must be physically able to lift to 50lbs to deliver furniture and do repeated heavy lifting
- Be willing to work flexible and long hours between Monday and Saturday (hours and start times vary, there are no set shifts)
- Required to have CSA- certified steel-toe safety boots
- Must be able to load and unload product from trucks using equipment or moving by hand
- Be capable of working independently, as well as part of a team
- Must be fluent in English
- Must have excellent customer service and communication skills
- Required to have a working smartphone to check work schedule and complete daily reports
- Must have a registered business or be willing to open one.
- Upon successful completion of training, specific tools may be required
