Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Shipping Lead to oversee our shipping operations. The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of shipping processes, and a commitment to ensuring timely and accurate delivery of goods. This role is crucial for maintaining our supply chain efficiency and enhancing customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Operations: Lead daily loading, unloading, picking, packing, and staging of outgoing freight.
- Documentation: Verify bills of lading, purchase orders, quantities, and shipping records.
- Team Leadership: Direct shift activities, provide on-the-job training, and support daily startup meetings.
- Inventory Control: Conduct cycle counts and maintain inventory accuracy in the warehouse management system.
- Safety & Compliance: Enforce workplace safety rules, health guidelines, and quality standards.
Job Requirements
- Experience: Two or more years working in a warehouse environment, with prior lead or supervisory experience.
- Certifications: Valid forklift operation certification (such as Counterbalance or Raymond Reach).
- Skills: Strong communication, problem-solving, and basic computer or software skills.
- Physical Ability: Capability to stand/driving for long periods and lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs)
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada (Canadian citizen, permanent resident of Canada, or possess a valid work permit) and provide a clear Criminal Background Check
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00-$28.00 per hour
