Position Overview
The IT Support Specialist is responsible for supporting and maintaining the company's IT infrastructure for our North American operations, including networks, servers, computers, laptops, and cloud services. This role provides technical support to employees, ensures system reliability and security, and assists with company IT projects and technology deployments.

Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for hardware, software, and network issues.
- Deploy, maintain, and repair PCs, laptops, and peripheral equipment.
- Install, configure, and support Windows and Linux servers.
- Monitor and maintain network infrastructure, including firewalls, VPNs, and wireless networks.
- Administer Microsoft 365, InTune, Azure/Entra ID.
- Manage user accounts, device deployments, software updates, and system security. Perform system maintenance, backups, and troubleshooting.
- Maintain IT documentation, inventory, and software licensing.
- Support onboarding/offboarding by provisioning user accounts and equipment.
- Assist with IT infrastructure projects and technology upgrades.
- Collaborate with global colleagues, including IT group in Japan, and vendors, as required.
Position Requirements
- Diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 3+ years of IT support or systems administration experience.
- Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Strong knowledge of network management and security; Fortinet experience preferred. Experience with Microsoft 365, InTune, Azure/Entra ID.
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
- Japanese language proficiency is an asset.
Working Conditions
- Primarily office-based with occasional travel between company locations, if required.
- Ability to lift and move computer equipment (up to 25 lbs/11 kg).
