Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Breakfast Host/Hostess to join our team. The ideal candidate will create a welcoming atmosphere for guests, ensure efficient seating and service, and support the overall dining experience. This role is essential in providing exceptional guest services in a fast-paced hospitality environment, with opportunities to develop skills in food service, customer engagement, and restaurant operations.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage waitlists efficiently
- Escort guests to their tables and provide menus
- Take reservations and manage seating arrangements to optimize flow
- Assist with food and beverage service as needed, including serving and food preparation
- Handle guest inquiries professionally, ensuring a positive experience
- Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, including tables, chairs, and surrounding spaces
- Operate POS systems such as Micros POS for order processing and cashiering
- Support kitchen staff with basic food handling and meal preparation tasks when required
- Ensure adherence to food safety standards and proper sanitation procedures
- Assist in setting up breakfast buffet or service stations as needed
Skills
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments preferred
- Strong customer service and communication skills to engage with guests effectively
- Knowledge of kitchen operations, food safety, and handling procedures
- Experience with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly
- Familiarity with hospitality standards, including guest services and meal presentation
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Team-oriented mindset with excellent interpersonal skills
- Flexibility to work mornings during breakfast hours, including weekends if required
