The Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) is responsible to provide diagnostic X-ray and Computed Tomography (CT) services, as part of a rotation, to patients of the Diagnostic Imaging (DI) Department in accordance with established standards of practice in Radiology. The philosophy and objectives of the Northwest Territories Health and Social Services Authority (NTHSSA) to competently produce quality images which supports the Radiologist in the accurate and timely diagnosis of patients.

This full-time position involves producing high-quality images that aid Radiologists in making accurate and timely diagnoses.

The MRT must adhere to the standards and objectives of the Northwest Territories Health and Social Services Authority (NTHSSA), ensuring competent and effective imaging practices.

The role requires strong technical skills and a focus on delivering excellent patient care through accurate imaging.

You will need to work independently to perform all types of radiology and CT procedures in accordance with NTHSSA policies and procedures and governing bodies.

You will need to coordinate and manage the day-to-day CT workload and have specialized knowledge of Radiology and an be able to use varied types of diagnostic equipment.
Key Qualifications

Diploma or Degree in Medical Radiation Technology and workplace Computed Tomography training (or willing to obtain)
Additional Requirements:

Certification and registration under CAMRT prior to the commencement of employment.

Certificate in CT Imaging (CTIC) through CAMRT or willing to obtain within three years of hire.
