Lehigh Hanson Materials Limited is looking for a Temporary Administrator to be based in Victoria, BC. Reporting to the Operations Supervisor (VMD), this position is responsible for providing support to our busy aggregates operations. The Administrator plays an integral role in assisting with general administrative processes and providing superior customer service and support.
This position is a temporary maternity leave coverage, and is anticipated to end in February 2023 or until the return of the incumbent.
What you'll get to do:
Answers and directs incoming calls, arranges courier delivery/pickup, receives and distributes mail
Complete ticket audit and exception reports
Provide support for accounts payables and receivables, including processing invoices for payment and the tracking of Purchase Orders
Data entry into the OnBase software system
Weighing of trucks and provide customer support for truck drivers.
Provide relief to scale house staff during breaks and as needed
Purchase office supplies as needed
Assist with administrative activities for other departments or processes
Complete other duties as assigned
Preferred Experience and Skills
Minimum requirement of a high school diploma, Some post-secondary education in business or accounting is preferred
Two or more years of administrative experience preferred, basic accounting or book keeping skills is an asset
Knowledge of aggregate materials or other related industry experience an asset
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word), Experience using accounting systems is an asset
Demonstrated customer service focus with strong interpersonal skills
Ability to work weekends (Saturday) as needed
Work Environment:
Role operates in an office and manufacturing environment with moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, humidity, elevated noise levels, and dusty conditions.
