Do you enjoy working in a fast-paced exciting environment where no two days are ever the same? Science North is seeking to fill the following internship opportunities. Internships are one year in length and will start as soon as possible. All applicants must meet the following internship program eligibility requirements. Candidates must be recent graduates (within 3 years) from an accredited college or university, legally entitled to work in Canada, not previous participants in an internship program and the internship must represent a first-time employment opportunity in their field of study. All positions require exceptional interpersonal and communication (oral and written) skills and the ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment.

During the next two years, Science North’s media production requirements will include producing object theatres, traveling exhibitions, supporting the increased awareness of the Science North Brand, and showcasing our expanded Science Festivals and Outreach endeavors. Science North relies on our small media production team, to produce media for visitor experiences, as well as internal and external communications. The intern will assist the Production team’s Editor and Animator by conducting research, coordinating small filming events, collecting assets (equipment or media), and archiving organizational media assets. This position will also support the planning of location shoots by helping to source necessary equipment, contribute to the completion of permits, and assist with communications to stakeholders. This position will provide a key role in conducting stock footage research, archiving, and administrative, creative and logistics duties associated with each media production. The successful candidate will have a degree/diploma in Film Production, Media, Arts & Design, Television & Film Business.
