Responsible for the ongoing training, handling, boarding and general welfare of the bed bug detection dog. Responsible for carrying out the Company’s service objectives within established policies and procedures. Required to travel to proposed and current customer accounts to perform bed bug inspections using specially trained bed bug dog to detect infestations.

Manages the area assigned to him/her; Plans the days work; Completes all assigned work before the end of each month to the complete satisfaction of the client.
Travels to client locations to perform bed bug inspections using a specially trained bed bug dog to detect infestations.
Helps assess bed bug problems and need for treatment.
Inspects visually for pests, pest harborage, pest entries, etc.
Documents infestation findings and submits timely reports.
Communicates effectively with clients to explain the value of our program and services and answers any questions that may arise.
Completes Company contracts, work orders and service tickets as per company policy.
Completes a daily production and sales report listing for work completed, collections made and a summary of other activities according to Company procedure ensuring completion and accuracy.
Provides 100% care for the dog in a 24/7 environment.
Maintains adequate equipment and supplies in the Company vehicle to perform any job required; Maintains equipment in good, safe and clean working order; Ensures the vehicle is properly maintained and serviced according to the company maintenance schedule.
Operates the Company vehicle in a safe and courteous manner; Adheres to H-25 (Vehicle/Fleet Safety Program).
Secures new profitable contractual gain for the Company by working in conjunction with the company’s Marketing, Quality Assurance and National Accounts departments to execute business strategy and achieve the budgeted growth.
Ensures his/her uniform is worn at all times while on duty in accordance with Company policy; Ensures he/she is well groomed in order to project a positive image of the Company.
Assumes responsibility for related duties as required or assigned; Attends and participates in seminars and professional conferences; Maintains knowledge in relevant field at all times.

One or more years dog handling experience.

Pest control experience/knowledge an asset

Provincial Pesticide Applicators License for assigned area

Requires a valid drivers license and a good driving record

Previous sales experience

Able to use all related hardware and software

Strong organizational, time-management and multi-tasking ability
