The Centre for Prehospital Medicine currently have a Temporary Full-Time opportunity for an Informatics Associate at 77 Brown's Line , Etobicoke.

Summary of Duties

Provide front-line technical/operational support for IT/Business systems. This includes but is not limited to:
Windows, MAC & Android OS based devices (eg: tablets and computers)
Office productivity software such as Office 2010/2013, Adobe Acrobat Standard, Remote Desktop, VPN client, TeamViewer, Aladtec scheduling system etc.
Avaya telephone system
Escalate technical and communications-related issues to second-level technician as required
Provide on premise and offsite IT field support during emergencies, planned events, system setup and deployments. This includes but is not limited to:
Audio-visual equipment setup
Physical setup of Local area network using custom configured IT assets such as computers, servers, printers, network and other communication devices
Installation of network equipment in the server room

Perform routine maintenance tasks such as:
Inventory audit
Backup tape maintenance
Software patches
Physical preventative maintenance of two-way radios, Ipads, printers, routers, switches, battery packs, IT storage containers and other network/communication devices
Participate in the Information Technology Working Group (ITWG) and assist in the selection of technological solutions for the Centre
Assist with procuring departmental IT hardware and software using Sunnybrook approved processes (e.g. utilizing Vendor of Record via Plexxus)
Liaise with corporate Sunnybrook Information Services team and assist with compliance to all Corporate IT policies and procedures
Assist in documentation of systems and IT processes which include but is not limited to:
User Manuals
Process workflows
Network Diagrams
Meeting & Project documentation
Assist with inventory management and physical IT asset organization as required and directed
Perform other technical and administrative duties as assigned
Qualifications/Skills

College program in computer science and 2 years’ related experience or 3-5 years’ experience in a front line helpdesk/informatics environment or equivalent

Advanced Proficiency required in the following areas:
MS Office (especially, Excel, Word, Access, Visio, Outlook and PowerPoint)
Operating Systems: MAC OS/IOS, Android OS, Windows 7 & 10
Desktop support knowledge
Adobe Creative Suite (Indesign, Acrobat, Photoshop)
MCSA or MCSE certification is preferred
Ability to work independently
Excellent people and customer service skills
Advanced documentation and computer design skills
