As we continue to build a global presence for our brand, Bluesound Professional is in the market for an enthusiastic and skilled Audio Technical Support Specialist. If you are a technically skilled individual with a passion for audio and a dedication to customer satisfaction, we would love to hear from you. The role is primarily responsible for supporting key client account(s) while also contributing to system design projects. The ideal candidate will possess excellent technical knowledge, a positive attitude, and the ability to be on call after hours when necessary. This position is based at our headquarters in Pickering.
A Day in the Life:
Technical Support:
- Provide technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to Bluesound Professional equipment used in audio deployments.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot Bluesound Professional equipment and BluOS software issues promptly and efficiently.
- Ensure timely resolution of customer issues by coordinating with internal and external teams, including the possibility of troubleshooting trips to customer sites.
System Design:
- Assist in the design (and possibly commissioning) of audio systems for various commercial projects.
- Collaborate with the sales team to develop customized audio solutions tailored to client needs.
- Conduct site surveys and create detailed documentation for system design and installation.
Customer Service:
- Maintain a good, positive attitude as well as a high level of professionalism and enthusiasm while delivering exceptional customer service.
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide appropriate solutions.
- Follow up with clients to ensure their issues are resolved and they are satisfied with the service.
On-Call Support:
- Be available for after-hours support to address urgent technical issues as needed.
- Monitor system performance using remote monitoring tools, and proactively address potential issues to minimize downtime.
Training and Documentation:
- Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation and user guides.
- Train customers and internal team members on the use of audio systems and best practices.
Team Support:
- Supporting the Bluesound Professional team which will include attending US and international tradeshows, dealer and distributor meetings, and other training events.
You Bring to the Team:
· Bachelor’s degree in Audio Engineering, Electronics, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
· Proven experience in technical support, particularly in commercial audio systems.
· Strong understanding of audio signal flow, acoustics, and digital audio protocols.
· Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
· Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Flexibility to be on call after hours when necessary.
· Positive attitude and commitment to delivering high-quality customer service.
· Ability to travel when required is essential
Nice to Have's
· Experience with BluOS and similar audio platforms.
· Knowledge of system design software and tools (EASE, AutoCAD etc.)
· Familiarity with network audio systems and IP-based audio solutions.
· Certifications in relevant technical fields.
