Our organization is searching for a Pharmacy Manager to oversee one of our multidisciplinary and clinically-oriented pharmacies within a multidisciplinary clinic. The ideal pharmacist will be focused on exemplary patient care, willing to work collaboratively with prescribers, and either familiar with or willing to learn about pharmacy operations. We're looking for an effective leader with excellent verbal and written communication skills, proven leadership abilities, and a life-long learner.

Integrated within the Carepoint Medical Clinic (a Primary Care Setting), we are part of a dynamic healthcare team, working collaboratively with physicians, nurse practitioners, and nurses. By fostering strong partnerships and leveraging innovative tools, we ensure seamless communication and coordinated care to enhance patient outcomes. Our pharmacists are empowered to prioritize clinical work, making a meaningful impact through services such as immunizations, medication reviews, diabetes education, pain management, MACS, and other patient-focused initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to deliver exceptional patient care.
- Conduct immunizations and play a pivotal role in public health initiatives.
- Provide Minor Ailments and Contraception Services (MACS).
- Educate and support patients with chronic disease management and provide personalized care plans.
- Document clinical interventions and outcomes while maintaining effective communication within the healthcare team.
- Provide safe and informative medication dispensing services aimed at promoting adherence and improved patient outcomes.
- Work with the rest of the pharmacist team to ensure continuity of patient care
- Supervise pharmacy assistants and provide training as needed
- Oversee the pharmacy's day-to-day operations, including stock and supply management, adherence to regulatory standards, etc.
- Support and promote positive staff-patient relationships
- Work with prescribers both in and outside of the attached clinic to support their practice, answer questions, and optimize patient care
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree.
- Licensed and in good standing with the College of Pharmacists of BC.
- Certified to administer immunizations.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Proficiency with Kroll and EMR systems is an asset, though training will be provided.
