Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking General Labourer / Demolition Crew Member to join our construction team. This role involves assisting with demolition, renovation, and construction projects, ensuring safety and efficiency on-site. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, the ability to follow instructions, and familiarity with various construction tools and techniques.
Duties
Debris & Site Clean-Up: Efficiently clear, sort, and remove construction and demolition materials from the work area to maintain a safe, organized job site.
Heavy Material Handling: Perform demanding physical labor, including lifting, carrying, and transporting heavy materials (such as concrete, brick, and rebar) using wheelbarrows and other manual tools.
Demolition Assistance: Safely assist with the dismantling and tearing down of structures using hand tools and basic power tools under supervision.
General Contracting Support: Provide hands-on assistance to carpenters, site leads, and other tradespeople as needed across various phases of construction.
Safety Compliance: Strict adherence to site safety protocols, including wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times and properly handling tools.
Equipment Maintenance: Help load, unload, clean, and organize company tools, trucks, and equipment at the start and end of each workday
Requirements
- Prior construction experience preferred; attention to detail
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely
- Experience with demolition or restoration projects is beneficial
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to lift heavy materials and work in various weather conditions
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and work effectively within a team environment
- Valid license or relevant certification is preferred but not mandatory
- Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to different project requirements
